Hi there, I would recommend making a gauge swatch of the stitch that is used in the pattern. If the stitches are looking to tight with the 7mm hook, I would definitely use a different hook. You want your stitches to be nice and flowy for this pattern. I hope this helps! 😊

Hi there, I've always loved a simple single crochet border for this pattern since it's quite textured. But I also think a picot stitch border or a crab stitch border would look good as well. Hi there, chain 3 does not count as a double crochet stitch. You want to make your double crochet in the last stitch. So you're going to place it in the last single crochet from the previous row. The last stitch can sometimes be a little hard to see, because it's almost on the outer edge. I would put a stitch marker on the last stitch (sc) and this way it's easier to see when you're making your double crochet rows. I hope this helps! 😊

Thank you so much! How is your tension when you crochet? If you crochet a bit tighter, your stitches might budge a little bit. I would maybe try going up a hook size and seeing if that will help loosen up those stitches. I'm naturally a very loose crocheter, so I think that helps when making my stitches. So I would try going up a hook size, I think your rows will come out a bit more even. 😊

Hi there, I would personally make a gauge swatch and see if you need to go up a hook size or go down a hook size (my gauge is listed in the pattern). Yarn weights vary so much, so I would personally make a gauge swatch. This way your blanket also turns out the same as the pattern. 😊
